  • BS in Early Childhood Education ~ preferred –or
  • BS in a Related Field WITH Early Childhood Certification, Child Development -or
  • BS in related field WITH verified coursework equivalent in Early Childhood.
  • Summary

  • Develop and implement daily lesson plans
  • Manage classroom according to Creative Curriculum guidelines
  • Plan and implement classroom behavior management system
  • Interact with children at eye level
  • Monitor and conduct on-going assessment of students
  • Complete student data entry into Program database
  • Employment Requirments

  • Pa. Child Abuse Clearance; PSP Criminal Record Check; and FBI Clearance.
  • Valid Driver’s License / Reliable Transportation.
  • Personal reliable transportation.
  • Obtain / Maintain Current CPR / First Aid Certification.
  • Willing and Able to Travel throughout Mercer County.
  • Obtain / Maintain Safety Mechanics Certification
  • Required to perform frequent sitting, walking, standing, lifting, able to kneel, crouch, stoop, push and pull
  • Health Appraisal / TB test results per policy
  • Abide by all regulations and polices of HHS Performance Standards, OCDEL and Farrell Area School District and Mercer County Head Start, Early Head Start and Pa. Pre-K Counts.
