Head Start / Family & Community Engagement Supervisor

Benefit package included. Hours: Full Time Position at 18.45 per hour, (11-month position). Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Evening and Weekends as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Family Services, Counseling or related field.
  • Two Years of Supervisory Experience preferred.
  • Experience working with families and young children.
  • Have ability to work effectively with variety of families from diverse economic and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Have strong organizational, leadership skills and time management skills.
  • Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
  • Summary

  • Under direction of FCE-Manager will have oversight and monitoring of all Family and Community Engagement Services.
  • Provide Supervision and oversight of FCE Staff and their duties.
  • Responsible for Supervision, performance evaluations, scheduling, staff development and FCE-Advocates.
  • Responsible for conducting staff meetings and on-going training.
  • Employment Requirments

  • Pa. Child Abuse Clearance; PSP Criminal Record Check; and FBI Clearance.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Personal reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel in and out of town.
  • Staff Health Appraisal and TB test results per policy.
  • Abide by all regulations and polices of HHS Performance Standards, OCDEL and Farrell Area School District and Mercer County Head Start, Early Head Start and Pa. Pre-K Counts.
